On the first day of inclement weather, we follow Anne Arundel County
Public School’s decision concerning any change in schedule. Please note: we
open at 9:00am when the county has a delayed opening; we close early when
the county has an early closing.
On subsequent days of the storm, we make our own decision based on the
condition of local roads and our parking lot. We may decide to open on
time, have a delayed opening or not open at all. You should call our voice
mail at 410 647-2300 beginning at 6:00 a.m. or visit our website to find out
our decision for the day.
A suggestion we have found to be helpful to parents is to make plans with
other parents for days when schools are closed. One parent can plan to
take the first day off from work and have their child’s friend(s) over to
his/her house. Then, the other parent reciprocates, which allows each set
of parents to miss only ½ of the time from work. This is also a good way to
keep your child busy while having to remain at home!
